As the UK looks to phase out petrol and diesel cars by 2030, a number of new electric vehicles are set to hit the market in the next few years. Here's a look at some of the most anticipated models coming out in 2022 and 2023.

What will be the best EV in 2022?

This is a tough question to answer as there are so many variables that come into play. Battery technology, for one, is constantly evolving and improving, so it's hard to say which manufacturer will have the best battery in 2022. Another factor to consider is range. Some manufacturers are focusing on creating EVs with longer ranges, while others are concentrating on making smaller, more affordable cars. So it really depends on what your priorities are as to which will be the best EV in 2022.

Some of the most anticipated EVs coming out in 2022 include the Tesla Model S Plaid, the Porsche Taycan Turbo S, Lucid Air, and the Rivian R1T and R1S (the latter two are US manufacturers making their debut in the UK this year).

All of these cars are on the cutting edge of EV technology and are sure to be impressive. But again, it really depends on your priorities as to which one will be the best for you.

  • The Tesla Model S Plaid is expected to have a range of over 520 miles on a single charge, making it one of the longest-range EVs on the market. It's also said to be able to go from 0-60 mph in under 2 seconds, making it one of the fastest as well.
  • The Lucid Air is also expected to have a very long range, somewhere in the ballpark of 400 miles. And it's said to be able to recharge its battery up to 20% faster than other EVs on the market.
  • The Rivian R1T and R1S are both electric pickup trucks, and are said to have a range of over 400 miles as well. They're also said to be able to tow up to 11,000 pounds, making them some of the most capable EVs on the market.
  • Lastly, the Porsche Taycan Turbo S is one of the quickest EVs on the market, with a 0-60 mph time of just 2.5 seconds. It's also said to have a range of over 200 miles.

Is there a better electric car than a Tesla?

Some people might prefer a Tesla because of the long range and fast charging times, while others might prefer a different EV because it's more affordable or has a longer range. However, all of the cars mentioned above are impressive in their own ways and are definitely worth considering if you're in the market for an electric vehicle.

What is the most promising electric car company?

This is another tough question to answer as there are so many electric car companies that are doing impressive things. Tesla, of course, is one of the most well-known and respected EV manufacturers in the world. But other companies like Toyota, Mercedes, and Audi are also making waves in the EV world.

If you're looking for a company that is innovating and pushing the envelope when it comes to EV technology, then Tesla is probably your best bet. If you're looking for a company that is making affordable EVs that have a long range, then Rivian might be a better choice. And if you're looking for a company that is making some of the quickest EVs on the market, then Porsche is worth considering.

What percentage of cars in the UK will be electric by 2025?

This is a difficult question to answer as there are a lot of factors that can affect the adoption rate of electric vehicles. However, some estimates suggest that electric cars could make up around 15-20% of new car sales in the UK by 2025.

Of course, this is just an estimate and it's possible that the percentage could be higher or lower depending on a number of factors. But it's safe to say that the number of electric cars on the roads is going to continue to increase in the next few years.
